How to do a Destination Search

The destination search lets you query flight schedules using flexible parameters. Whether you are looking for a specific airline's reach or regional connectivity, Maestrow uses SSIM data to return real-time results.

Origin required

Every destination search requires an origin to generate a valid route map or list.

Search Parameters

You can combine multiple variables to narrow your results:

  • Locations — Airport codes (e.g. SIN, BOS), airport names, countries, or global regions (e.g. Africa, Europe)
  • Timeframes — Specific dates (YYYY-MM-DD) or date ranges
  • Filters — Airlines, aircraft types, or any SSIM variable

Examples

Regional and global searches

Show all destinations from SIN
Show all destinations from BOS to Africa
Show all airports in Germany

Airline-specific searches

Show all destinations for SQ from 2025-10-01 to 2025-12-31
All destinations for DL

Codeshare filtering

When searching by airline, you can explicitly include or exclude partner flights:

Show all destinations for DL excluding codeshares
Codeshare note

Excluding codeshares filters out the DL6000–DL9999 flight number range, returning only Delta-operated metal.

SSIM Variables

You can filter by any SSIM field in your query:

VariableDescriptionExample
Carrier2-letter IATA airline codeDL, SQ, LH
RegionContinental or sub-continental areaSoutheast Asia, Middle East
Date RangeValidity period of the schedule2026-01-01 to 2026-06-30

For a full list of SSIM variables, see How to do a SSIM File Search.

Best Practices

  • Be specific with regions — "Western Europe" or a country code like DE returns faster, more manageable results than "Europe".
  • Verify airport codes — Use the 3-letter IATA code (e.g. LHR for London Heathrow) for the highest accuracy.
  • Use consistent date formats — Always use YYYY-MM-DD to avoid regional date ambiguity.
