How to use MDO for MCT Change Prompts

This guide shows how to use the MDO prompt framework to compare MCT changes between the current published schedule and the previous published schedule.

Use this prompt when you need a concise, change-only summary of MCT rule updates for a specific station.

The MDO Prompt Framework

  1. Mission (What is the task?)
    • I want to know the MCT changes between this week and last week for a specific station.
  2. Definitions (What are the rules and context?)
    • Include the station code, schedule versions, and any relevant MCT rule details or exceptions.
  3. Output (What should the final product look like?)
    • Ask for a structured comparison with only changed rules, clearly showing additions, deletions, and modified values.

Examples

Bad prompt: What are the MCT changes for DXB?

Good prompt: Compare the MCT rules for DXB between the current published schedule and the previous published schedule. Only include rules that have actually changed (additions, deletions, or modified times) and exclude any rules with no changes. Capture all carrier-specific exception changes, including terminal, flight range, and interline exceptions, and display the results in a side-by-side comparison.
