Maestrow Naming Conventions
Maestrow uses IATA definitions for common airline terms. If your organisation uses a different meaning for a term, you can specify your own definition in the User Profile.

Common Terms
| Term | IATA Definition |

| Direct Flight | A flight where the flight number remains the same across more than one leg (a continuing flight). Often confused with non-stop. |
| Non-stop | A flight that operates between two points with no intermediate stops. |
| Route | A city-pair combination representing an origin and destination. |
| Hop | A single flight leg. |
| Market | A passenger travel market between two city points. |
| O&D (OND) | Origin and Destination — a passenger's full journey from start to final destination, regardless of connections. |
| True OND | The actual end-to-end city-pair a passenger travels between. |
| Segment OND | An individual flight segment within a broader O&D journey. |
| Connections | Itineraries requiring a transfer between aircraft at an intermediate point. |
